Telit Wireless Solutions, Inc., an internationally leading specialist in machine-to-machine (M2M) technology, announced recently that Direct Communication Solutions (DCS), has signed a distribution agreement with Telit following Telit's acquisition of Motorola's M2M unit.
DCS will offer Telit's full line of embedded M2M modules as well as logistics, support and data connectivity services for M2M application developers and end users across many vertical markets, including wireless point-of-sale, telematics and healthcare. DCS was recently presented the Sales Excellence Award due to outstanding sales performance in 2010.
"As an authorized distributor of Telit modules, DCS is able to provide quality, market-leading technology that aligns with our own M2M expertise and services," said Chris Bursey, managing partner for DCS. "We look forward to supporting its full product line and future modules that will enable a new generation of M2M applications."
Telit's full M2M product line, including GSM/GPRS, UMTS/HSPA, CDMA, and short-range RF modules, will be available to application developers through comprehensive DCS sales and support channels. DCS will continue to distribute the former Motorola-branded modules as Telit maintains the C24, G24, G30 and H24 product families, pledging to extend the longevity and stability of customer applications designed around this hardware.
"What has impressed me the most about DCS since joining Telit is the deep level of technical expertise and market experience they possess. DCS personnel completely understand the M2M market and the needs of application developers," said Mike Ueland, vice president and general manager of Telit Wireless Solutions North America. "Telit and DCS's shared values of customer support and dedication to the M2M market make for an ideal partnership and immense growth opportunity."
DCS recently announced a partnership with RACO Wireless to provide a complete M2M package for vertical application developers, which will allow DCS to grow and increase product shipments, including Telit modules, in 2011.
